Great Value Family Day

The Cairns and Far North Environment Centre today announces a great family day out in Cairns. The annual Envirofiesta offers the greatest value all-day festival for families in FNQ, running from 10am till 10 pm.

Envirofiesta offers free entry for pensioners and children under 15 and, Adults are only $10 and CAFNEC members are $5.

For only $3 the Kids can spend the day with the Northern Circus Alliance (NCA) learning circus tricks, having their face painted, doing craft, great festival games, or just watch the circus performers. All of the NCA trainers are qualified to teach your kids the fun of being in the circus. Colourful Roving performers will also be entertaining them all day.

Many great environmental information stalls will entertain and educate old and young, featuring great education resources and even some local wildlife to see close-up. Dozens of market stalls and eco-businesses will be selling everything from massages to septic systems.

For the adults, there is a great line-up on the 3 stages of local talent along with a guest appearance by Shane Howard, of Goanna fame. The Evening brings big band music, wild Cabaret performances and the Great Recycled Fashion Parade. An environmental cinema will be running all day, providing a great chance to get informed on a many current issues. There's even a raffle with great prizes, including a pampred evening at the Julaten Mountain Retreat.

The CAFNEC Cafe will provide value meals and snacks that are healthy and tasty. All proceeds go to helping CAFNEC in working towards a sustainable and enjoyable future for the Far North.
